Following our successful Fall LEO Retreat, I knew there was another step of faith coming. However, my path was clouded and I couldn't see what that step of faith was. And so I asked. I waited. I even fretted.
In turn, I heard nothing but silence.
And then it came to me. We were driving to church one Sunday morning and I heard it as clear as a bell in my spirit. The Lord was very specific about what that next step of faith was-the dates, the format, the venue. The clouds lifted and I saw with detail and definition what His next step for Protectors' Peak was.
The plan emerged swiftly as the Protectors' Peak board rapidly put details into place. The Faith Conference for first responders, military, and law enforcement came to be on January 15th and 16th at Maranatha Church. We had speakers, a worship team, a prayer team, and dedicated volunteers who came together to provide a place of renewal for our weary warriors. We were pleased by how well received it was by those in attendance. We took joy in the synergistic connection and fellowship that took place between our guests who were unknown to one another. The Spirit of the Lord was there and we saw and felt Him move amongst us in a powerful, yet hospitable and friendly way.
When the conference wound down, several guests asked me, "What's next?"
I inwardly chuckled because that was my thought throughout the entire conference weekend.
I know there is a next step of faith.
I know that the Lord will reveal it.
But right now, a cloudy mist rests on the path.
Once again, I will wait. I will pray.
And I will trust in the Lord who leads and guides me on the path.
If you are in a "cloudy path" season, I encourage you to be patient as you wait on the Lord. He's working out the details behind the scenes and His timing is perfect. In the process, your faith and trust in Him will deepen and grow.
Proverbs 3:5,6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
Soon, the clouds will lift and you will see and hear with crystal clear clarity!
